Merino saves the windy day

Ever check the Weather Channel app and the weather looks amazing but then you step outside and it's just weird and wrong?

That's what happened today.

Knowing I had clients meetings scheduled, I opted to add a little more business to my typical dressy casual week day look.

And really all that means is I opted for khakis and loafers rather than khakis and sneakers.

I wasn't sure what to wear up top since my favorite button-ups all need to be pressed and the weather was cool and windy.

Enter my Turtleson Raynor polo. I bought the Raynor in lavender a few weeks ago to chaperone my wife and daughter at the Taylor Swift Eras Tour concert in Nashville.

It's a beautiful shirt with a subtle dot pattern on a white background. From a distance it looks like a pale solid, but up close you can see the cool dot pattern.

The Raynor looks more like a dressy polo than a sporty polo, although I'd play golf in this thing in a heartbeat.

Given the weather, I opted for my navy Turtleson Merino crewneck, thinking I'd shed it mid-morning when the sun was all the way up. I ended up wearing it until the end of the day.

That crewneck has seen a lot of action since I got it earlier this year and you'd never know it. Still looks brand new.

To wrap up, if you find yourself needing an extra layer on a day when the weather is funky, give a merino crewneck a shot. I prefer it to the summer weight sweaters I picked up from J. Crew for the season.
